Program
WHO Life Skills Framework for youth aged 18–25.
Overview
Through peer learning and mentorship, participants develop practical life skills, civic awareness, and job readiness—preparing them for employment, vocational pathways, or community leadership.
The Leadership and Employability Skills programme targets youth aged 18–25, anchored in the WHO Life Skills Framework and operating across three levels: individual, group, and community. Through peer learning and mentorship, participants develop practical life skills, civic awareness, and job readiness competencies that prepare them for the transition into employment, vocational pathways, or active community leadership. The programme also serves as DUNK’s sustainability and exit strategy: alumni take on volunteer and civic engagement roles within DUNK and the wider community, creating a pipeline of locally rooted young leaders.
The programme brings together young people aged 18–25, many of whom have grown up within DUNK’s sports and education programmes, for structured sessions grounded in the WHO Life Skills Framework. Activities include peer learning circles, one-on-one and group mentorship, facilitated workshops on communication, problem-solving, financial literacy, and civic responsibility, and supported pathways toward employment and further development.
The programme operates at three levels: building individual confidence and self-awareness; developing group collaboration and leadership; and fostering community contribution through active civic engagement. Participants are supported to identify their own goals and create personal development plans with guidance from mentors and DUNK staff.
